Here's my take on one of the most photographed places on Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay. This sunrise was a little unique with the wildfires causing a haze to hang over the mountains.

Lake Tahoe is the 2nd deepest lake in the US (1,645 ft). The water from this lake could cover the entire state of California with about 14 inches of water. Water clarity is about 70 feet.

Interesting timing ... I just put down a Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce tourism magazine we received. I will be there for the first time in September. You may want to give me some tips for where to go to get a couple of good photos Rod. I like the framing of the sunrise here Rod.

Thanks for the very cool photo and the info on Lake Tahoe! Leah and I were there last November and it was beautiful... unfortunately we were there on business and couldn't stay very long.
