Hey guys,

It turns out we will also be heading down toward Monterey on our trip out there this Fall. And in reviewing images of that area I noticed some really killer shots of Pebble Beach. Here is one example at hole #7:

So I was wondering how this type of shot might be captured. Does one actually have to be 'on' the golf course or could someone take a shot like this from a lookout somewhere?

Has anyone tried to shot this area along the 17 mile drive before?

Thanks,

There's an area for tourists to walk onto the course and watch from the perimeter. I don't think this is the same spot but it is definitely possible to take pictures of the course from certain areas.

I am glad to hear about the tourist/visitor access. I have seem several shots particularly from above hole #7 which look absolutely stunning. I would love to shoot that scene at least once in my lifetime.

And although I don't golf I can appreciate the beauty of that scene which is both serene and intensely powerful all at once.
