Blue Ice
Cruised Alaska last month and took an excursion into Tracy Arm near Juneau. By far this was the best part of our cruise. Weather in Tracy Arm was perfect for capturing the blues in the ice. They are best on cloudy days.

Saw lots of amazing "sculptures."

Had fun tracking the trip on a GPS and then geotagged the image files when I got home. This helps me identify where taken and what glacier was shot.

Go here to see results of geotagging. Click on "view map" right below the image.

Cool Craig. The wife and I are headed up there in late August, early September. This gets me excited for the trip.

Nice shot Craig. What an adventure, and perfect timing to see these little guys on top of the ice. I'd like to see a selective bump in brightness and contrast applied to the birds to make them a stronger subject.

The cloud formation toward the left looks a lot like the iceberg! Nice blue in it, too! It's okay as a scenic shot, but the birds lined up along the top of the 'berg makes me yearn to see it a closer shot in addition to this one. What a great trip. Totally jealous...
