A late spring scene from east-central Minnesota. I photographed at dusk, and after a light rain. Thanks for looking - I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday!

Technicals: Tachihara 4x5, Fujinon 135mm, Fuji Astia 100f, 30 sec exposure

Wow! I love it. The lichens on the tree bark juxtaposed with the foliage and flowers make this special. There's a warmth to this like I stopped here during a hike and just enjoyed the moment. Your composition and technicals are impeccable as always.

Nice shot. What is the yellow flower in the background?

Joel, this simple little scene is wonderful. Good eye in seeing this! The lichen color make this for me! :toast:

Beautiful composition and exposure, Joel!

30 second exposure...I'm impressed! Seems like we've had at least 5mph winds every day here, making long exposures of closeup subjects impossible. :frown:

Sweet shot Joel - good stuff. I love the exposure time too - now THAT'S LF photography!!

Thanks for the very kind comments.

Phil, it's Clintonia Borealis, a.k.a. Blue Bead Lily.

Toni and CJ, yeah...long exposures typical of 4x5, more often than not, it's a royal pain. I lucked out with having zero wind this instance. As CJ could probably attest to, it's generally not very easy.

Joel, I'm always impressed by your compositions. This one is no exception and the exposure is perfect. I'm completely drawn in by the variety of textures, shapes and colors.
