Something else for a change. Landscape photography is not really my thing yet but I gave it a try. Really want to know your thoughts.

iso 320 1/640 sec. F5.6 Nikon 24-85

Thanks,

Needs the sky darkening - ooo, that would be an ND grad job wouldn't it

And I'd say actually that there needs a fair amount chopping off the bottom - in fact I've just chopped the sky and the tree tops off and a load of FG and it looks quite good imho - but what do I know

Give it a try and see what you think

I'd crop it to a approx 5:1 with the sky removed and the foreground removed.

I think I would agree with Tom - but all you can do is try it.The one as it it is would be great if someone wanted to put a load of text over ther left for example. Or a double page backdrop maybe.
Cheers

Lovely bearscape, would be interesting to see a version with Toms suggested crop...

Thanks for all the tips and tricks.

I'm not placing this image in my portfolio that's for sure

It was just a try out and I was curious what your thoughts would be.

Thanks,

Agree with the cropping suggestions - my eye is drawn to the tall silver birch on the left rather than the bear, but taking out the sky and treetops should prevent that. Nice environment shot though

All the cropping comments are right in my view - get rid of the foreground though most of all.

Worth trying different stuff tyhough otherwise you never move on.
