Lower Sand Creek Lake
I've posted another shot from this trip in ESS but would like to get some feedback on these.

For some reason, on both my trips to the Sangres, its been really windy in the mornings but calm in the evenings. Too bad the lakes I've been visiting face east.

Based on the feedback on ES&S, I think this might be a better composition for the evening shot.

This is the best alpenglow I saw on this trip. On the second morning, while the lake was calm clouds obscured the eastern horizon and blocked the light.

A cloud bank blocked the light shortly after the alpenglow above, but soon the sun slipped between cloud layers with a bang.

Bluebells and Corn Lily on the hike out.

I'd love to hear your comments on any of these.

On the alpenglow shot, it seemed on the mark on my home monitor, but it looks a little flat to me now. Does it seem OK?

All three of the lake shots work for me. I like that first one with the evening light. Tijeras Peak rises so abruptly from that lake that you really need a super-wide to capture it all, but your shot proves you don't necessarily need mirror reflections to make a good image.

The others look good, but a reflection there would've been nice. They're still keepers. The flower shot is just too chaotic for my tastes, and the lighting looks harsh.

Dude! We're gonna have to start calling you Sangre-man! Looks like you had another great trip. I especially like the quality of light on that 3rd image. Well done! :toast:

That first one is very nice... I like it way better than the ESS version.

Your shots are killing me... I've got to get out more!!!!!

I really like the sun grazing the peak and the great tree reflection in #1. The light in 3 is sweet. I agree with Todd on the flowers - a soft subject needs soft light. Nice work!

My favorite is the third one. I like the light and comp. Thanks for sharing.

I like the first and second one the best. On the first I'd like to see a little more constrast between the top of the peak and the sky. They sky seems a little washed out.
The flower shot doesn't seem to have a defined subject but it looks like the bells are looking good.

I'm glad someone is out shooting. You're killing me too!
