Hey guys,
I'm having a problem with Bridge that I'm sure someone else out there has had...
I kinda like using Bridge as my browser, but every time I click on a RAW image, it seems to automatically brighten (and make a yellowish cast) by default. How can I keep it from doing this (it ruins greens!) and keep myself from having to work even harder on my images for nothing? Surely it has to be something in preferences, but I can't find it.
Thanks for your help!
Thanks Jim, but it's not that (I was excited for a brief moment), sigh. I don't know what it might be. The "apply auto tone adjustments" box was never even checked. That is what it seems to be doing though, messing with my tones .
Rick,
I think the problem is that since RAW files are unprocessed data then Bridge has a tough time displaying them. It's kinda of like the way your camera's LCD displays RAW files, not very well, which is why you look at the histogram. I use Bridge also and I real don't judge any of the images by the way Bridge displays them (except sharpness). I don't think there is a way around the ugly preview of RAW files. Hope this helps a little. You and I may be the only ones that use Bridge.
Carl
If I am not mistaken, Bridge does not make changes (edits) to the image file; that's what PhotoShop is for. I agree with Carl that it is likely having difficulties displaying RAW images.
