Greetings from a newcomer!

I just returned from a splendid month of guiding river trips in Dinosaur National Monument. Since I understand a number of RMNP folks are headed that way, I thought a shot of pushing off from camp on the Green would make a good first submission. Critiques and suggestions are welcome!

I have some more Dinosaur river photos online here. I'm frantically trying to get a decent number of shots edited and online before next week, when I leave for 18 days of boating in the Grand Canyon.

Hello and welcome, Jackson! A very colorful and peaceful first post. I enjoyed the linked page as well- you've got some excellent imagery there. I'll certainly look forward to seeing more of your work after the next adventure.

Love the color and detail in the rock wall as well as the boat for scale. Thanks for sharing!

I'd love to raft this section of the Green someday, the gates of Ledore is a great location that I haven't been able to do justice to.

Thanks for the preview! I'm looking forward to this trip and now you're making me want to do the Yampa trip as well.

Welcome, Jackson! I enjoyed your SmugMug galleries.
You sure got some great saturation in those red rocks with the morning light!

I'm looking forward to your Grand Canyon gallery. 18 days will be quite a leisurely trip. I'm envious.

Yeah, Grant, we need to do the Yampa while we're there - save gas.

Beautiful stuff, Jackson. It's been over 20 years since I last kayaked Lodore Canyon and also the Yampa. Haven't kept track of these runs for a long time, might have to get back there again. How high did the Yampa get this year? The Arkansas, where I have been the past month was ripping up until yesterday. Have a great trip in the Grand, I've been fortunate to have had 4 Grand trips (private) over the past 30 years, it's an awesome adventure.

That looks like a blast, someday I would really like to take a rafting trip like this.. The tiger wall looks amazing, great shot.

Thanks for the kind words, everybody, they're much appreciated. Don, I think the Yampa got well over 20,000 in May. The hydrograph's been funny this year, with so much snow and crazy weather, the river had multiple peaks. We ran our first trip in early June at about 18,000: super fun! It's getting low now, but will probably be runnable for a least another week or two (we've launched commercial trips at 800), which is amazing. The park was also greener and had more flowers this year than I've ever seen.

Grand Canyon's going to be great. Everyone one our trip has done it before, most of us several times, so we'll be trying to visit some of the more obscure locations.
