I tried Chuck's suggestion of using a slow shutter speed (slightly over 1 second here) on the water at sunset...this was the end result. Not sure which version I prefer.

Toni, this is a great image with alot of potential without knowing the subject. My first thought was strands of copper, a macro shot of locks of hair, or a beach! 3rd times a charm, right? Very nice, I'll have to experiment too.
This is very effective. I can't really say that I have a clear favorite between this image and the last one, they both have their positive attributes. Nice image Toni!

Nicely done, Toni. It's a very appealing quasi-abstract.

Thanks guys! I did get some other compositions, which might have to do for this summer. The sun is starting to move just far enough south at sunset so that I probably won't be able to get any more comps of the combination of sand and water with this light anymore this year.
