by the Piney River in the Eagles Nest Wilderness. The dominant peak in the center is Peak C, and the highest Peak in the Gores Mt. Powell is the rounded summit just left of Peak C it is at 13500 feet

I forgot these what these plants are called and I know it's been mentioned a few times

The Peaks in the background is Peak E and is part of Ripsaw Ridge which Peak C is the northern most peak of the group. I got plenty more to come if you wanna see.

One of my friends in Oregon said we're not very creative in naming our mountains in Colorado when she saw my pictures of Red Mountain #1, Red Mountain #2, and Red Mountain #3. I better not tell her we also have Peak C and Peak E (and presumably Peak A, B, and D).

Your third pic is the winner here for me. I might like to see a bit more at the top, but that's getting nit-picky. The image is creative and different. The light seems too harsh in the 4th pic and the composition is not doing much for me on that one.

Very nice stuff, Paul. That second shot is sweet!

Really like #2! Great colors.
BTW, the plants are corn lillies I believe.

I like the first two a lot.

Number 2 is certainly easy to love! I agree with Grant that the third is interesting too. The upside down mountains at the top make me a little dizzy somehow, maybe because there's no river bank or anything to anchor the reflections. Maybe try it cropped just a hair from the top, to make the mountains a little less prominent without losing them? Not sure about that, though; it's a lovely shot either way.

Ditto on #2 - sweet light!

I think you passed me on I-70 going up the East side of the tunnel on Monday (6/30). Silver SUV w/ your name and logo decals? We were returning from a family camping trip and had the trailer in tow, chug, chugging up the hill (not that you're supposed to remember). :wavey:

gee scott, so you're the one I almost ran off the road, notice I was passing EVERYONE

Corn Lillies, I gotta remember that

Very nice Paul! #2 is awesome, but I really like #3!! I've only been to Piney once, but loved it. Hoping to get up there again this summer. By the way, I think those plants are officially called False Hellebore. One of my favorite plants to shoot!
