Cope's Gray tree frog-even though it is somewhat brown...

While at a pool party I happened to hear this little croak over by the baby pool . So I kept investigating cause I never had a tree frog shot. Good thing I did because he was stuck in the pool and could not get out.

I pulled him out and was very amazed by the size ,just as I am by hummingbirds. I took him over to a tree/bush row to release him and he jumped from my hand onto this bush you see here.

Well I've learned not to wait for the wildlife to give me a perfect angle so I got off 3 frames.

I bounced the flash off my hand as I was about 1 ft away. After this shot he jumped on in the bushes deeper so I let him be. Very intriguing amphibians. I look forward to more opportunities. Hope you enjoy the close up.

Cute little guy. So do you always bring your full camera kit to pool parties?

I'm laughing at John's question-so insightful
.Adorable frog clinging on to recover from the big swim. It was nice of you to go into "bay watch" mode and rescue it. I pull over to move box turtles off the road :toast:
