In the past I have announced here when I updated my PayPal modifications for Coppermine. Tonight I updated my installation to Coppermine V1.4.18 (the latest version) and incorporated my PayPal modification. You can go to my website and follow the links from there.

Please let me know if you have any problems. I created the ZIP file on Mac OS X 10.5.4.

Hi Walter, just to let you know, I went through the steps at your site to add an image to the cart, It takes me to a pay pal link, and there is just says page not found.
Walter if I could ask a question here, what would be a good way for a person to learn building a website with coppermine? I have played with it just slightly and kinda struggled trying to figure it out from scratch on my own. Thanks.

Great question, Brad!

I created my own website w/ html and Dreamweaver, but have found Coppermine a bit daunting...

Coppermine is a standalone PHP / MySQL package. You create an empty MySQL database, load the Coppermine package into a folder on your website, and run the Coppermine install script. It tells you what to do in a pretty straight forward fashion. You pretty much provide it the name, user ID, and password for your MySQL database and the Coppermine installation script does the rest. To integrate Coppermine into your site, you only need to provide a link button on your site to your-coppermine-folder/index.php and off it goes.

I chose a Coppermine theme (skin) that I liked, then wrapped my website around it and copied the color scheme of the Coppermine theme into my website. That seemed to be the easiest way to have what appears to be a seamless website with embedded photo gallery.

Brad -- I tested my own website shopping cart and it worked fine. I'm not sure what issue you are having with your own website. Do you have a PayPal account set up? I don't have any instructions on how to set up your PayPal account.

Walter, I apologies for not getting back with you the last few days.
Ok, I just checked again, and when I go to add an image to the cart, it takes me to a paypal page, there are the typical links in the upper right corner including a login link. When I click on this login link nothing happens. Up in th title bar a paypal title is displayed with "page not found".
I do have an active paypal account with no issue signing in by going directly to paypal. I done a screen capture on the page, but guess I can't upload an image here.
Hope this is of some help, maybe it's just my system or something, probably should have another computer go thru the same action to see.
Thank you for the info on coppermine.

Brad - I sent you an e-mail via the e-mail link several days ago. Did you get it?

Thanks Brad for checking. I'm glad things are working now. At your suggestion, I have added a Donate button to that web page. Perhaps those who have used my PayPal for Coppermine modification to earn money will consider helping to support its continued maintenance and development as new releases of Coppermine come out.
