Hi folks, This image was taken a few weeks back at Second Beach out on the coast of Washington. The skies were clear and the sun was warm as we waited and hoped for some CLOUDS to add color to the sunset. That didn't happen but it was super nice to be cloud free after all those wet and drizzly spring days.
So while we waited and hoped I played with some comps and the waves. For this image I had to take out some barrel distortion using PSCS3. There is still a bit of it there but it's much better than it originally was. The tight crop on top was a result of fixing the barrel distortion...
Please let me know what yall think of this one.

It's refreshing to see some of these stacks on a clear, sunny day! I'm not wild about the slanted trees esp. on the R stack, but of course there's not much you can do about it.

I havent been down there in forever. Soon as the tripod gets fixed will have to head along the coast for a short weekend trip. I like looking on through the stacks here. :)
Nice one Rick... to nit pick I would like to see the rock on the left surrounded with water but I bet it was just too large. I'd hang this one as well!

Hi, Rick. I like this a lot! I particularly enjoy the water swirling in at my feet and the long view out through the stacks. NICE!
I think extending the canvas a wee bit and painting back in the lost space above the haystack in the urc would be really worthwhile for this image that is so pleasant to fix one's gaze on for some longer amount of time.

I love your choice of shutter speed on this shot. It works great with the evening light. I would have to say it's a framer.
