Hi
Went out yesterday, the sun was out, makes a pleasent change from the rain, eh! I spent a while adjusting my "exposure compensation" as the whites where "blown" in the strong sunlight, settled on -ve 1/3rd.
Nikon D200
Lens Sigma 500
Foucus priority: Dynamic
A Mode, f/7
Metering, Matrix
ISO 280
Crop 75%
Happy to accept C&C please.
Regards
Dave

Hi Dave,
I don't normally like head shots but this has turned out quite well! Great colours and pose of a delightful bird!

Thanks Paul,
I agree, head shots are not my "thing", but as a rookie wildlife phtographer, I am pleased with the colours and particulary the eyes, and also I feel I was able to manage the whites, which was my main aim yesterday, by altering the exposure compensation, something that I must confess is a new concept to me.
Regards
Dave

Very nice portrait Dave. Good strong shape. However, I feel that the image is a bit oversaturated. It could be the monitor I'm viewing on but the head colour looks too yellow.
