A recent trip to finland to photograph fishing osprey.
A wonderful experience watching these birds at a such a close distance but still very difficult to photograph as they are so so fast and you have a couple of seconds to get onto the bird, focus, compose and then press the shutter, lots of cropped wings, feet heads etc but I would thoroughly recommend it!!
Very good image. Nice sharp and at the right moment I think.

Spot on for me. Right amount of sharpness, right amount of wing blur. Love it!

Great shot Craig and ironic that you should put this up as Rothiemurchus Estate in the Cairngorms - who presently offer osprey photography but not to the same standard as where Craig has been - are building a facility similar to that of the Finns. It has always struck me as odd that for species like osprey and black grouse, most of us fly off to Scandinavia.
Can't do anything about bears in Scotland (just yet) but will keep this forum abreast of exciting developments for photographing both the species above. Did I mention this is a great shot?
