A little more from my time around the water.
I played around with comp and cropping of this and seem to like this square composition pretty well. I plan to go shoot some of these more, their kinda fun to play with. I think they will provide a good subject to learn more about composition and depth of field with.

Your comp provides some nice diagonal flow Brad and I like the contrast of the cattails against the blue/green foliage. Have a great weekend.
I have often thought about trying to photograph common cattail, Typha latifolia, but have not seen a composition that I liked. Had I come across this setting, I would have been pleased with the experience. Congratulations on a superb image!
There is some beautiful color in this, Brad - various shades of green, yellow, lavender, and brown all composed very well. Great work - I look forward to seeing more of these.

I've always loved cattail since I was a kid - not sure why. But it's nice to see them here. In fact, I think they spruce up nearly any image!
Nice shot Brad. This morning I did some shots of cattails at Eagle Bluffs. I haven't processed them yet - but I don't think they will come close to this.
