Bearded Gannet !!
Canon EOS 1Ds MKII, 300mm f2.8 IS, 1.4x conv, f8, 1/1250, ISO 400, RAW, RSE, CS2, hand held, full frame.

Hi All,

Another from Bempton. After collecting a gobful of grass, they simply dropped off of the cliff edge and glided away. Does anyone know why the whole colony seem to favour one small patch of grass

All comments welcome

Regards

Rob

Perhaps because it hasn't been pooped on yet????

Different shot Rob - I like it. You could lift the exposure a touch to give it a bit more pop.

Hi Rob,

This is a great behavioural shot! More than very nice to have on file! A slight lift to the midtone’s and contrast would increase that pop factor rather than exposure! Just IMO of course!

Hi Guys,

A slight lift in midtones, contrast and exposure. Working from an uncalibrated laptop, so thats my excuse

Looks like he hit the ground chin first to me. I've never seen this before. Nice behaviour shot, Rob.
