Not had much time to comment or post lately as I have been busy getting stuff done before I go away for about six weeks. This Guy came really close to our hide and took me by surprise, I had the 500mm lens on but went for this close portrait instead of trying to change. I had the chance to take a few compositions but I like this one might not be to everybodies taste but hey. I hope the next shot I post is a white one
Just a bit too tight for me Danny. If he had been a matter of even a couple of feet further back this would have been a craking close up portrait, especially with that really complimentary background.

You know this one works for me Danny - liked it before and still do
Love the eye contact and the BG - and as for those two big swipe scars on his noggin, well, say it all really - nice one
This is different! I've noticed a few have posted bears in my absence and some are just stunning. This image is tight, but very intriguing nonetheless! Those detailed eyes are awesome and the sheer sharpness is just wicked! You never said whether it was full frame or that you cropped to compose! If anything a wee bit to the bottom was enhance that impact! Stunning image! Enjoy your trip and watch those whites!
Hello Paul this is full frame I have pictures with him a bit further over but I really liked this one as it leaves you wondering, not to everybodies taste but I always think you have to go with instinct with shots like this, just trying to be a little different. I will watch those whites

Is there any danger from these bears, and are they aware of you in the hide?
Cheers,
Dan.
