Yet another RMNP visit.
Figured i should get some more photos of the Bear Lake area before the beetles wipe out the pines (they're going fast!). I scouted in the eve, then shot yesterday morning. Im about half way through processing. Here's a sunset with Longs.

Here's a different take on Hallet, via Nymph.

Finally one from below Emerald. I know this is tilted, but i was standing on a 30-45 degree boulder slope, and the tilt pretty much matches what i was seeing!
More at ESS!

Stan, Very nice collection! If it weren't for the dead tree in the 1st one it would be absolutely perfect! I love those yellow flowers in the foreground. I like your take of Hallet's peak, the out of focus foreground grass does bother me a little bit. I wish I would have thought of that comp when I was there. #3 and #4 are really awesome! I also really like what you posted on ESS.

I like this collection of different takes, from the well troden trail to Emerald lake!. Looks like the Golden banner are really blooming nicely, quite a contrast from less than a month ago when there was still snow banks on the trail!. I like the abstract version of Hallet!.

That first one really rocks! The out of focus grasses in the second one kill it for me, because it's the first thing I notice.

If you think the beetle kill is bad around the Bear Lake area, you should see the west side. I just spent a week in the Park with my family, and spent all day Wednesday over on the west side. That side of the park is just devastated. Unreal.

Boy, that first one is nice! Gotta wonder what would happen in some of the bad beetle kill areas if a fire gets going.

Nice stuff, Stan. I really like that first one due to the flowers.

Great stuff Stan. Sorry I didn't see you. This morning I was leading a workshop up in the Emerald Lake area and on the way back I pointed out the same patch of flowers saying that this would make for a nice sunset shot. Well done!

That first shot is a beauty! Is it just me, or are your photos getting better and better all the time??!!

Very nice work, Stan! I just returned from a family camping weekend up at RMNP. It's beautiful up there right now - nice captures! #1 is my favorite.

(The dead pines in #2 give it an almost Autumn look!) :frown:

Nice images. Really like the color in the reflection image.
