Not been able to get out and about much this week due to paperwork and weather, so shot from the office window whilst working  on the PC.

Hi Ian,

Reminds me of my old house, where I had a cherry tree and Starlings especially the juveniles would come 20-30 at a time and devour them, keep your eyes open as the local Sparrowhawk used to visit the cherry tree regular when it was full of Starlings.

The image seems to have a very noticeable sharpening halo around the bird, other than that I like it as it brings back happy memories of my first ever house!!

Regards

Rob

glad to see it's not just me that does that sort of 'work' A nicely composed image. I agree about the halo - maybe caused by lifting the shadows?

very nice, an attractive branch and bird, the cherry at the bottom really tells the story

Good image. When I was young I had to scare of these birds with air guns to save the cherry harvest. (-:

Every cherry tells a story, this one wouldn't be the same without the cherry would it? Nicely done.

Nits covered, but the composition and the cherry are fab. Can see this with a headline in the space on the right
