Juvenile Gannet
Another from my trip to the Bass Rock. A major difficulty I found was trying to isolate birds. There are so many crammed onto the rock that it is difficult to get one on its own. Even with this shot I had to clone part of an out of focus flying gannet from the top of the frame. I've cropped it to a narrower format to try to emphasise the cliff face, other than that it is full frame.

nice image, it shows the bird in its natural environment very well.

I like the unusual angle for a gannet shot.

Nice image and agree with earlier comments but for me, I'd like to see just a tad more space on the LHS as the rock face just crowd s the bird a little.

Kind regards,

Brett. :toast:

nice environment shot, like the crop, although I personally would take some from the top which I think would give the bird more prominence in the frame

Lovely subject and an interesting take on gannets but one that tells you a bit about them
