Great light, the perch is sublime and the pond makes a very sweet background.

Oh, yeah...the bird itself is no slouch!

What a great shot, Dan! To me he pose of the bird and the tip of the branches make this a fantastic composition.

So when are we going to see an Audubon cover shot?

Sorry to be late to the party, Dan - this image is just killer. Reminds me of those perfect poses in Audubon paintings. The black background makes this shot special. Awesome!
