Nice, my only nits would be the oof puffin in the bg interfering with the shape of the subject. Also it seems a little under exposed?

Hi Paul, Agree, having a problem, in Lightroom, the image is bright, on uploading appears under exposed. Have just uploaded the same image in "avian" section, I think it is slightly better.
Dave
Hope you don't mind but tried to lift the image a little. Gently moved the level sliders and given curves a gentle "s", a touch more exposure (although whites are getting hot) + 15 on saturation and 5 rounds of USM at rates 100,0.2,0.
Hi Rob
Thanks for your input, looks better, however when I export from Lightroom the image is bright and crisp, however once exported the image often appears under exposed.....I am on the case, and will work it out, as it is driving me nuts!!!!!
I'm impressed with Rob's adjustment I too am having all sorts of problems with lightroom with images looking fine until I export and then they go to rats. So much so I've just downloaded Bibble Pro. I think I expect instant results.
Like the idea... the flash seems to be not having any effect here, one would expect at least the eye to pick up a catchlight from it... that is the main crit here, the eye needs a catchlight to give it some life/
The image has been uploaded as untagged, it needs converting to sRGB which is the better colour space for web viewing (most browsers are not aware of the colour space and sRGB is the closest to what they can show, *hope that made sense, it is a minefield*)

Hi Dave,
This is a nice shot, but I can't make my mind up about the 2nd bird. Probably better without it for me, or if they had been seperated a bit more. You have made good use of the flash. Eric
Hello Dave,
I like the composition on this one and don't mind the oof bird in the background. Rob's work has improved greatly what I 'm seeing on this monitor. I agree with Phil about lack of catchlight but I can appreciate the difficulty in getting any life in the eyes on a puffin as they seem to have such small and deep set eyes.
