Late Night Osprey
Taken at about 10pm light was just starting to go.
Was trying to get a bit more blur but happy with this one.
The D3 at high ISO is truly amazing and allows shots when other cameras would have given up long ago,so impressed!!!!!
Taken at pohtiolampi osprey centre, kangasala, finland for those who have not been/asked.
Nikon D3,300 f4 AFS,iso 1250.1/125th f4,hide,wimberley head

Cheers

Hi Craig,

The exposure/processing has been much better controlled on this one. I really like it. As you say excellent amount of movement giving great action to the image. The head/eye is pin sharp and I like the composition. Only minor nit wish the BG was more blurred, but still very nice as is.

Regards

I actually prefer this to the others as the blur enhances the speed / movement

Yes I think I prefer this one out of the set.

very nice and well timed. The low light capabilities of the D3 are illustrated very well.

A lovely image, really like the movement you've caught in the wings it really adds to the image for me.

Agree with earlier comments and I think i prefer this out of the series. The movement in the wings and water is superbly captured, I'd be interested to see how much noise there is at full frame, if any..?

I think this one has come out the best, although for action I preferred the bird struggling to get off the water again. I agree with Rob that the processing looks better on this as well. An excellent series of shots.
