July Dragonfly
Sorry that is the best description I have for this. I was waiting for combine to move between fields while we cut wheat the other day and I took time to shoot some of these guys. Haven't posted for a while have been too busy with flood clean up. I also had no images that I wanted to post most of what I have been taking have are of flood and the mess it has left behind. 600mm eq 5.6 1/200 ISO 100 cropped a bit off left side and bumped saturation and sharpness a tad.

Great capture. Excellent detail, especially in the wings, and I like the uncluttered but colorful background.

Nice job, Kendall! Hopefully you will get a chance to start shooting more again soon.

Very nice, Kendall. Good DOF. Can you pull any more detail from the shadows -- especially around the head?

Great capture. Would like to see a more uniform OOF background but that's asking a lot on this type of shot. I shot the same type of dragonfly a few weeks ago with my long lens and didn't get nearly as nice a shot.

Superb capture. Excellent focus on the dragonfly (and the wings!), and a very nice background.
