After doing a bit of research I dicovered that these birds were thriving at a number of sites only a few miles from me in the hills of North Cork. One of which is literally a good friend's back garden! Just had a brief run this evening in crap light conditions and found a fledged family group with at least three fledged and flying chicks. This seems to be the female bird. 40D, Sigma 500mm Cheers MJ
It's a portrait crop of a landscape shot. The long side of this shot would be the short side of the original if you know what I mean. A have included a different processing of the shot. However, the light was poor and I shot against a grey skey. Not the best idea
The second version is better IMO Michael know the feeling about grey skies.
When something like this comes along its always worth ago and serves as a nice record shot.
