Thinking of selling my D2x, 17-55 f2.8, 80-200 f2.8 and 80-400 lens (making the switch from Nikon to Canon) I have looked on Ebay for ideas of prices they seem to really fluctuate, all equipment is used but in excellent working and physical condition. Anyone have an idea of prices for these items?

If you are selling them yourself, I would suggest checking KEH for prices then setting your price at around 75% of what they ask. You can sell to a camera dealer, but they will pay you about half what it is worth because they have costs to cover and they need to make a profit. All you really need to do is sell it for more than a dealer will offer you.

Wait until after August, mid September. EBay prices are nuts during the summer. You likely won't get a good deal on the 70-200mm f2.8 on eBay unless it's in February or around then.

Price ranges for a given item on eBay are pretty wide right now due to the weak dollar. People selling items that open them to int'l bidding/shipping frequently get considerably higher prices because of the relative strength of foreign currency.

I'm in the process of selling my LF gear. I've found that if you look for similar listings (same gear, same selling/shipping policy with regards to int'l bidders, same condition) you'll get a good idea of what your gear will fetch. And along the lines of Pete's suggestion, check B&H's used equipment section for comparison.
