Brown Bear close-up
This was an amazing experience, I tell you!!!!
About 15 feet in front of the hide, this bear was standing just in the right pose to make a good close-up.

Full frame 1/200 sec. F9

Hells bells Edwin, now that IS close. If you are going for a close up then get close and you have certainly done that! Fantastic bear shot. Best I've seen.

That's a really dramatic image. The cropping may have enhanced it some what too. certainly very brave.!

Well that is a dramatic shot and no mistake. The fur looks really soft, you should have tried stroking it as well while it was so close?
Just a great shot Edwin. :toast: Eric

All said - Impact, texture, composition, sheer excitement. This shot has it all. For me, seeing the whites of the eyes, and that open mouth make this very special. Also, a really different bear shot from the norm. Hope you brought a spare pair of pants! Great work Edwin!

Excellent Edwin. As Elliot says 'different from the norm" which just makes it even better.

I just re-visited this shot and I have to say that the detail makes this the next best thing to being there. The little foam bubbles, nicks and blood vessels inside the mouth and the bloodshot eyes. Fantastic detail.
