I'm still learning LF with much encouragement from Harley and Lon and wanted to post one of my recent LF images. This image was taken over Memorial Day weekend. It rained most of the weekend, but I still had fun. The fallen pine in the FG caught my eye in the fading, over-cast light. Post-processing in Photoshop. Thanks for your comments.

Personally, the photo is kinda dark for me and lacks an interrest point. The fallen pine doesn't scream for attention. So maybe in hi-res, the details of the photo would steal the show, but at this resolution I'm not thrilled by this composition.
The way you framed the fallen pine and cut it could have been interresting if the photo worked better for me.
Another note is form what I see I do not know how I could have had taken another approach to find a composition that would work better for me.
Looks like maybe cathedral peak in the background?

I think the mid-ground is the strong part of the image. The greens are quite nice in the grass too.

I like the image, but it looks pretty soft to me. Is this a problem with the transparency or is it just a lack of unsharp mask.
