Water Lilies
While visiting my son in Cincinnati a few weeks ago, we found these Waterlilies at the Mount Airy Arboretum. Slight Gaussian Blur added.

Very pretty; the contrast really makes the blossoms and pads pop.

I'm wondering about a very slight crop from the right to eliminate the little bit of pad peeking in from the LRC.

My first response to this is sort of quizzical, but then it really grows on me - good work!

This is simple and sweet. The little touch of gaussian blur was a perfect touch IMO.

I like this effect, Toni. Gives it the feel of a misty morning. Have you considered trying the Orton technique on this?

Thanks :)

Chuck..I wasn't thinking when I said I added a slight GB. It was the Orton effect that was used, just not as strong as I might with some other subjects.

Nice composition and painterly feel Toni!

I really like the colors in the lily. I would be tempted to do a close crop of just the flowers and a little bit of the pad.
