Lewis River Trip - 2 versions
A small stream that feeds the Lewis River - easy to overlook... I shot this while out with Eric and his friend Rick. I'm including a G9 shot for comparison. So far I really like that little camera...

The G9 version

I like the angle from the G9 version better Ned. Not sure why, but it seems a little better balanced to me.

In the G9 shot, the detail in the rocks looks better and the tighter view of the water is nice. At first glance the tighter view of the G9 shot was appealing more to me but the more I look at them, the more I like the balance between the foliage and water in the first one. The trunks adding contrast int he upper left is attractive as well.

Perfect work on the water as usual Ned! 1st one is my preference.

It seems the second one is sharper, maybe just processing? But its the one i like.

I like the stream in the first one better, especially just below the log.

Excellent comps, Ned. Nice to see the comparison with the G9.

I like em both.... maybe the G9 a bit better!

Dahlias this year Ned?

Thanks for the input.. I'm digging that little camera so far... Dahlias? Absolutely! I plan to be there several mornings.. I noticed they are starting to sell at the Vancouver Saturday Market - but I am not sure if that means they are blooming in general yet. Maybe just in the green houses. I will check the site for those fields and let you know Jack.

Nice Ned, it's really hard to tell much difference on these small jpegs. I'm curious, how do the big files look?
And count me in on those Dahlias.

Great shots Ned, thanks for the comparison. My preference is for the second. On this monitor at work, it is quite a bit sharper too.
