Here's one of mine taken a few summers ago of Capitol Peak just before crossing the infamous "Knife Ridge". Thanks for looking.

This was supposed to have been a reply to the theme post of "Big Mountains". I'm not sure how it ended up here. Sorry.

Hi Justin.
I don't know where you meant this photo to post, but I am glad it ended up here. Although the light is a bit harsh, the comp is amazing. I hope it's not as scary to cross the ridge as it looks. Thanks for posting.

The dark shadow really makes the spine of Capitol look menacing. Well done.

Very cool shot. It has lots of impact, especially for those of us who have climbed stuff like this. :toast:

Thanks everyone for looking. Capitol was my second 14er ever, and Uncompahgre, my first 14er, wasn't exactly a warmup for this technicality of Capitol. Needless to say, it is an amazing peak and even though the difficulty of its Knife Ridge can often be exaggerated, it definitely makes an impressive peak that much more impressive.

Justin,

Love the crisp look of this shot and the slight blue tint in the shadows.
