I am now in my second year as a member of NPN. It is easy to start taking for granted all of the help this forum provides. The critiques of the photos are great as is the opportunity to view other people's work and see how they accomplished their objectives.

Beyond that thought is the chance to reach out to knowledgeable people and get answers to specific questions or issues. Recently I did just that with Richard Ditch as my processing technique just was not getting the results I wanted. He took the time to study my image and play with it himself and then make very specific recommendations as to approach. It was an immense help, and I learned more about Photoshop, which basically I have learned what little I know through trial and error.

Anyway, my thanks to everyone in general, and Richard specifically.

Peter

I second your thoughts here Peter - about NPN in general and Rich in particular. He has done the same with me (as have others). Don't know how long I would stumble along before picking up some of these processing techniques without the selfless help from folks like these.

Hey guys, I'm blushing.

I always enjoy helping in these situations, especially when I see a basically strong image being held back by small issues.

I've been at NPN for many years now, and I've learned a lot from others through the give and take of the critiques. It seems natural that I should share what I've learned with others going through the same trials that we all encounter along the way.

Peter, Richard has helped me tremendously, amongst other NPN members.

Don't blush Richard, take the compliments and revel in them.
