More Blue Lakes
Darren's photos of this place last year were awesome, but to see it for yourself is incredible. Here are a few of mine. You can see another on ES&S.

Both of these were shot with the 50 1.4 @f5.6 on my XT. The detail in these two shots is incredible, but doesn't transfer to the web.

And finally, the flowers, which are amazing along this trail. This is a combination of tickseed and lupine along the trail above the lower lake.

That's one of my favorite hikes, Mel. I hope to be up there next week.
How was the snow up on the pass ? Icy, postholing ??

Lower Blue Lake delivers some awesome color !

Great color Mel!

Bill, the pass was fine. The snow was all on the Yankee Boy side. The road in YBB is not open all the way to the top right now, but its only a half mile or so from the top.

Very nice Mel!! Man, I love that place! And it looks like the flowers were awesome! Can't wait to see more!

Just curious, where did you guys end up camping? I sent Darren some GPS coords from a cool spot I camped at in 2002, just above the lower lake.

Wow! Gorgeous, Mel! And an aptly named lake (if not very creative!)
