I am getting ready to send a group of photos for print. 16 x 24 and larger. I would like to hear some feedback on who you guys use to commercially print your photos. I realize that alot of you print your own, what I'm looking for is a reliable, quality printer with quick turnaround (1 week or less).

I have been using Chromatics out of Nashville Tn. They have produced very nice quality and quick turnaround...but they are top dollar vendors.

Please post your comments, suggestions and past experiences.

Thanks for your help,

Harold

I have been using mpix.com (the online service of Miller's) for years. Shipping charges are flat rates regardless of the size or number of prints. With regular shipping ($4.95), I get the pics in about 4-5 days. With Next Day Fedex (about $9.95 I think), I upload one day and they are on my door about 3:00 pm the following day. Very consistent prints that are accurate representations of what I see on the monitor. Reasonable prices. I use their Kodak Metallic paper a lot.

I've also been using MPIX and they have always been good and very fast

I myself always use Mpix and am very happy. I have to agree on the consistency of print vs what is on my monitor as well. Can't go wrong with Mpix.

I also have been using Mpix with no complaints at all. They are very quick and easy to work with. I also have used West Coast Imaging, a little more expensive and take a little more time but great results.

Thanks for all the replies. If you are reading this and use another vendor with positive results like Mpix...please add a reply with your experience.

Thanks again,

Harold

I use WHCC. Free shipping in 2 days, heavy print paper with arcival quality. They require calibration with your monitor to their printers. They offer easy upload of photos, many sizes, gallery wraps and many other services.Outcome-beautiful prints, reasonable pricing. I also hear bayphoto is good, but have not tried them.

Hey Harold,

I can print up to 17" wide and you can see them come of the printer. I print matte, glossy and canvas.

I go between MPIX as well as MVPCARDS.COM I have not had one problem out of either company. I like mvp's upload system (ROES) better than MPIX. The only thing with mvp is that you must create an account. Hope this works for you.
