Any user over here? I've recently started experiencing some pain in the fingers and other hand joints and guess it is due to use of mouse. I only use photoshop and LR and no graphic artist as such so the use will be limited to photography related digital darkroom.
What is your experience, any suggestions, recommendations?

We use them for exactly the reason you describe. Your description of symptoms is a perfect account of the long term effects of steady mouse use. Ours are older models, so I can't comment on the specifics of newer ones, other than to say that I won't use anything else for computer sessions longer than about half an hour. My wife does hours of retouching every day, and would be crippled without hers.

Are you using a mouse or a pen? I use a pen with mine and eventho I have severe corporal tunnel syndrome (pain)in both my hands, with the pen I have experienced no symptoms..

I use a track ball because I have chronic tendonitis. With the track ball I no longer have wrist pain. I also use a Wacom tablet, but that's because it makes selecting areas much easier than the track ball.

I could not imagine photo development without my Wacom. I also tend to use it for almost everything else.

I love mine to bits and just couldn't work without it now! Best piece of kit in my digital darkroom! I use the pen but it took a little while to get used to it!

I use the Wacom Graphire 4 Classic XL. I don't know how up to date this model is as I've had it a little while but it does the job for me admirably therefore I have no desire to change it. It did take a little patience and time to master (as I use it with a pen) it was just like when the mouse came out then the pad on laptops. Practise makes perfect!
