Wildflowers of MN and WI
To follow up on my post from earlier this month, I thought I would post a few wildflower photos from southeastern Minnesota and Wisconsin. I ended up stopping by Great River Bluffs State Park in Minnesota, then spent almost a full day in the Wisconsin Dells area exploring Mirror Lake and the International Crane Foundation (great recommendations!).

It was a really good trip overall. The only downside was being reacquainted with mosquitoes and humidity (Denver has less of the former and MUCH less of the latter). I was able to get some great photos of wildflowers as there were seas of them along the highways, at rest stops, and in the parks and places I visited! In addition to the one here, I also have them posted on my website:

and I have put together a gallery for the wildflowers here:

Thanks again for all of the helpful suggestions! I look forward to participating in the forum!

Nice choice of depth of field in this shot, all in all, it works well for me. The color contrasts are excellent. I hope you enjoy the upper midwest. I'm sure leaving the Denver area is tough on some level. While there isn't much that rates high on the grandeur scale around here, I've found it to be a fulfilling area to work. Regards!

Nice DOF choice here; I like the identifiable, but not competing, black-eyed susans in the BG.
