Lapwing, gently does it
Taken at Snettisham this Lapwing gentle prized out a quick meal for one! For me I find the movement in the legs a tad distracting, however...

Hi Steve,
Lovely picture. I think I would have done a little cropping on the sides and the top so it became a square picture and you get rid of the shadow. I think it would then be more impressive.

I would agree with Tom on the cropping. Good shot though .Not seen this behaviour photographed before.

I think it's a cracking image Steve - never noticed the leg movement, in fact I still can't see it!

Very nice - colour perhaps a tiny tad 'off', looks a bit blue-ish in the midtones, but crop is fine as is, or with a tad more room bottom and left.

Don't crop it square - why folk say this I'll never understand - square crops are not commercially viable :frown:

Great capture Steve of some nice behaviour :wavey: :wavey:

a very nice image, well timed. I would prefer the image as it is rather than a square crop.

A superb behavioural image Steve. Agree with Andy about crop, it's fine as it is.

Hi Guys, have wrestled with this crop too

Originally I thought portrait, but then too much dead space above, then square, however, not ideal, I do think landscape is better, but guess it is all personal preference.

Appreciate taking the time & commenting :toast:

Lovely Steve, I like the timing of this one, with that ragworm stretched just as tight as he dares.

Like it lots Steve, can't see the movement and like the crop as is. In an ideal world a slightly more side-on view with more eye may have added to the drama, but its still great
