Ned, Eric and I have been emailing each other on the state of the fields at SWAN LAKE Dahlia's in Canby Or. Looks like mid Aug should be peak. I drove out there the other day and things are just getting started.
As last Sept was my first time over there, I am looking forward to getting back. It's an endless spot for patterns of color and macro.

I was out there yesterday. The display garden is way behind. There are a few blooms. I am expecting great things my next day off at the end of august. I played with the really harsh light and got a few fun shots, but nothing really great.
