My apologies for not participating in the forums recently... I've been really really busy recently.
I've finally posted my photos from a 3 day, 25-mile hike I did a week ago. I started from Bear Creek, about a mile south of Ouray, and hiked up to the tundra in the Uncompahgre Wilderness, looped around and walked down the Bridge of Heaven just north of Ouray.
I left the 4x5 at home this time, traveling light with my new Olympus E-420 setup, with 12-60mm lens. Not only was the light weight a joy, but so was the ability to take hundreds of photos with ease and not missing any opportunities. Very much refreshing, though I still love the craftsmanship-feel of shooting with the 4x5.
Also, you may or may not notice that I just implemented a new design for my website. If you see any design bugs or errors please let me know! (It utilizes some new PNG graphics features that may not work in older browsers).
Jack as always you come away with excellent unique visions of beauty!!. Great shot here!! Beautiful filtering light... and I am really surprised to see the details on the mountains with such high contrast situation. Great job...regards, Rajeev.

They get better every time I look at them.

I like the light rays in this shot here. I'm getting a "403 Forbidden" error when I try to access your website or blog. I'm using the newest version of Safari.
Great photos, Jack! As usual, I'm totally impressed with your trip reports. Keep it up!
BTW, the Dragon's Back photo is my favorite.

Nice series Jack.
The dragon's back shot is nice but would look better if the grass around the pool was not killed off. That said, I've seen a ton of that this summer too. I would say its definitely worth revisiting.
The rainbow shot was very nice, very classic.

Thanks all for your comments!
Justin - I'm loving the e-420 setup - particularly that 12-60 lens, which is a great do-it-all lens. The camera is so small and light, it all fits into a mini top loader pouch on my chest.
Rajeev - This shot here was a two exposure blend in photoshop. Despite the blend, I still couldn't hold on to those highlights in the clouds, but perhaps that was to be expected.
Scott - Maybe a server hiccup? Site's working fine now.
Killer collection of images, Jack. The Dragon's Back and American Flats shots make me really want to get out and do some backpacking. Excellent work all around!
You got lots of great photos on the trip Jack, but the one attached here is just friggin' amazing. The Dragon's Back one ain't half bad, either. I'll have to add that to my LONG list of places to visit.

Looks like a great trip with some nice photo ops. I like all your pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Great shots...how are you liking your E420 setup. The 12-60 sounds like a sweet lens. Again, nice shots.
