Over the week end I to found it rather hot and bird life not to great.
Did a tour of the airfield and came across loads of butterflys.
First time this year I had seen any in quantity so stopped and thought I would give it ago.
Tried hand holding with the 90mm Tamron but just couldnt approach them at all. It was after all at a time when they were all very active so resorted to something bigger.

D2X's + 3oomm AFS + 1.4 conv + 25mm +? Extension tubes.

Hello Major.

Nice shot and the colours work well in this one. I also like the way you have kept the butterflys antenie against the bright green leaf, which shows them of nicely.

Nice work Major, is this evening light as the colours look quite saturated for me..? But it could be the gold colour of sunlight..?
