More Bells
I got there at 5:30 and I was the 4th one there. One of the photographers was Evan Anderman, a very nice guy with a very nice camera (Hassy H1 / P45 back). http://www.evananderman.com/

Another was a guy shooting with a Canon G7 mounted on a carbon fiber tripod.

Very interesting morning at a very beautiful place.

I sure hope to see this in person someday. I always end up north in RMNP (actually I'll be there tomorrow). An amazing place these Bells ... in any season. Thanks for sharing Mike.

Mike, nice take on the Bells, did you make it up to Crater Lake while you were there?

Another nicely done shot Mike. I'm taking you had to wait in line to use this vantage point which doesn't surprise me. The clouds are a nice attribute in this.
Thanks for sharing.

Tom, I took my 60yr old sister with me and she didn't want to do any hiking. I did talk her into going to the end of the lake to see the falls people were talking about. In these parts I think we call it a cascade.

But I was pretty restricted (not that I'm a big hiker but I can go on short ones).

Mike, I have a funny story from that end of the lake. Back in the early 80's I was intently photographing the cascade you are referring to. I had my trusty AE-1 on a tripod and was using a cable release. Long story short, I had set up the scene and was taking multiple exposures and paying attention to my camera settings and not looking at the scene. When I got home and developed my slide film, there was a moon in the picture and it wasn't the type you see in the sky!

Mike,
Excellent job on this photo.
We'll have to coordinate our trips better next year.

Sounds good to me. Wish I could afford to go back at fall foliage time.
