Figures. I bought lightroom 1.X a week ago with CS design 3.3. I had tried the LR 2 beta and there were features I needed, but couldn't wait for it. One of the big things is that I shoot and scan 4X5 and lightroom 1.X wont import photos larger than 10K pixels on a side.

Anybody know if they have a program to step up from 1.X to 2.X or who to contact? I think they've done this in the past if the product was purchased a short time before the new version release.

I know someone who purchased PSCS 2 a month before the release of CS 3, and Adobe graciously allowed her to upgrade for free, so as you noted, this is probably pretty common.

Call Adobe at 1-800-833-6687 and give it a shot. I'd be interested to hear how you fare.

Also, Scott Kelby has a very good compendium of LR2's new features (pros & cons) at his blog.
