This is a little change of pace from the summer shots. When I’m out and about I frequently walk up streams (apparently I’ve never quite grown up). I frequently take close-up shots of water and rocks to produce an interesting abstracts. This is one I took yesterday while on a walk along the Red Cedar Trail.

These types of photos always get me - I quite enjoy it. I keep wanting to do something similar, but haven't quite been able to accomplish what you've done - good work!
Yep, that's pretty sweet! Nice shot Phil..... I agree with Tim that I would like to have a shot or 2 like this, but so far I haven't gotten anything I like.....ah well. I'll keep trying!
I, too, love this kind of image, which shows what can be achieved when a photographer is willing to experiment. The colors in this image are simply fantastic! Thanks for reminding us to look small as well as large.

Really nice! The lens effects of the ripples give a very artistic, abstract look.

Phil,
I'd be entering this in Photo Art... absolutely stunning. I would say this is one of the top 5 images I've seen here in this forum this year.
FANTASTIC!

This is a really sweet shot, Phil! The ripples in the water are perfect to give the stones a tiling effect.
