Since I am trying to sell my house in the US and move back to bonnie Scotland maybe you'll permit this intrusion, I'm a member of the RMNP forum living in Colorado right now. I shot this yesterday at 12,000ft in the Rockies, patience allows the tundra animals to approach confidently. It's so peaceful up there, lots of elk (Red Deer), marmots, big horn sheep etc.
This is a fantastic action shot. The subject does feel a little lost in the background though, but I cant be too critical as this must be a pretty challenging shot to take
Cute little guy - nice timing to get him in the jump, and with a mouthful too.
You must be mad to return to the UK with our cost of living vs the US! Most of us want to go the other way... Hope you can find the peace of the Rockies back in Scotland.
thanks for all the comments, I like to shoot birds mostly and other nature subjects, the RMNP guys tend to be landscape photographers in general. Interesting how the different forums have different characters.
