I was standing on the pier at work this morning, on Hood Canal (work graveyard) when the sun came up and did anyone else notice the beautiful light over on the Olympic Mountains that lasted for a few minutes? I thought for a minute it had snowed, the light and mist made it look white, with a beautiful huge rainbow. So there i stood, happy to be on graveyard to see it, even without my camera (in car) for i probably would have slept in and missed it if i was off work. I find that i need to get back to what i use to do when i first got my camera and that was head out before first light and stay late, long after sunset. I see your pictures in here and notice that i need to capture light, not just light, but dramatic light, alot better then i do, and then know how to handle it and process it also. So anyway, this morning made me realize to get back to what i use to like to do, but now capture that light correctly. Just thoughts. Cliff
This morning was arguably the best sunrise I've ever seen in the Northwest. I've heard reports from people viewing it from the Olympics to Crater Lake! I was fortunate enough to make the most of it out near Bend. Hopefully some others got a chance at it too!

Folks,
I've been under the weather... tired, stomach etc after another round of workshops, bad food, aack of Sleep etc.. I think you know the drill.
I watched the sunrise looking out my bedroom wondering if some one was out there.
I have a feeling the we will be graced with images form Marc and hopefully other that caught it.
It was really wonderful even though I was pretty much down for the count this AM.

Sadly I had to work today so I was asleep but there was a moment where I woke up to use the restroom and saw the amazingly beautiful light dance across the clouds from my window. I felt so disappointed that I had to be in my bed because of having to work.

My girlfriend leaves for work before I do, and made a point to call me on her commute to ask me if I was seeing the awesome sunrise! I wasn't, of course..
