Pheasant (female)
Sitting by the canal this lady appeared just other side of the hedge so wqas able to get a good close up. On looking back through the forums pheasant shots, I had to go through about 30 before I found a female version!! I think she is quite attractive even if she is a brown job!!!

Metering - Spot

Can't make my mind up with this camera whether spot is better for metering or evaluative

I really like this shot. I can't think of anything to improve it. What makes it for me is the unusual pose - and the composition suits the head turn perfectly. :toast:

Hi Kim,

Lovely shot. Not sure if it is a female or a Juvenile male (where's John MacT  ) Either way a well caught pose of a common but overlooked bird IMO.

Nice shot

Regards

Nice, really like the pose and the background. She looks to have a bit of a magenta cast, but that could be my screen as no-one else has mentioned it....

Well caught! :wavey:
