Sunset, Wilson Lake
I took this Friday evening, as the sun dropped below the horizon at the Wilson Lake swim beach. The rings of the clouds are what caught my attention. I blended 3 images using CS3, which gave the clouds a dreamy feeling to me, which fit the beautiful evening.

http://gallery.heartland-images.com/sunset072507 contains this image, plus 5 additional images from the same same time. The last image wasn't a blend, and was taken a little earlier than the first 5. All 5 sunsets were different file sets, even though the last 2 look similar.

I'd appreciate any input on this image or the others in the gallery page. Thanks for looking.

Hey Rob, I like the shot (shots). I agree with the soft swirl of the clouds giving a dreamy feeling. It has a soft esoteric quality to it. The only thing I "might" do is to crop a little off the top to bring it down closer to the clouds and make it a "tighter" scene. I don't know if that makes sense or not - but- I have been screwing around all day trying to install an "AirPort Express" unit so I can move my printer away from my desk and create more room. It has become a "three six-pack" experience......

Very peaceful, Rob - and nice use of HDR. It makes me want to be there!

Beautiful sunset shot Rob. Nice peaceful mood, but I agree with Merle that you might crop a little off the top.

Hey Rob, I waived as I drove through western Kansas yesterday. Probably couldn't tell what with all the heat and wind!

I like the soft feel of this shot and the crop does work better IMO. The Golden Ripples was nice and would be even better without the vertical shadows intruding into the "golden" hues at top. Nice work, keep 'em coming!

Nice crop Rob. I like it better without so much tall sky. It brings the clouds out as a focal point of interest.
