Hope I'm not to off topic on this. Our local artistic director introduced me to an artist from the Philadelphia area who wanted advice about getting art work photographed.
It was my opinion she was better off getting a photographer to do the work rather than buying equipment and software to do it herself. If there anybody who lives in this area that can do it or can recommend somebody please contact me off list.

Dave,
I'm outside of Philly, about 10 minutes west of King of Prussia. Would consider shooting the artwork for your friend. I use fluorescent daylight balance lighting, so there is no heat on the art. Have your friend contact me if she is interested.
