Robin
Heres one of the very 1st shots ive took about 12 months ago.

As my garden and the surrounding ones are pretty dead for even the most common of garden birds (the whole area seems to have be taken over by Magpies, Crow and Pigeons!)

I decided a bit of a walk through Epping Forest might just at least throw up something a bit exotic (for me at least)

I noticed the Robins were very inquisitive as if to say "feed me"!

So the following week i went back to the same spot and set up my pop up hide and armed myself with a few treats for the little fellas. At least 3 of them would be sat around the hide in the branches like mini Sparrowhawks waiting to pounce!

Anyway heres one of the results!

Canon 400D
Canon 75-300mm f4/5.6 USM
ISO 800
1/200sec
f5.6
AV Priority
Metering Mode: Pattern

RAW was processed in Photoshop CS3.

Hi a nice image but for me it needs a bit croping off from the bottom of the image.

Phil.

Hi,
agree with above,
and a careful USM would bring out more detail.

Hi Kwok,

Needs a bit more done to bring the colours up, as posted looks a little washed out. Also needs more USM as it looks a little soft.

Regards

I agree with the comments so far, and would add that it is never good to chop the subjects feet off. :frown:
Its not easy I know but it always makes a shot not "feel " right"
Cheers

I would take a bit off the bottom and off the top and a bit of sharpening (if the image allows it). A nice capture though.

That's a nice 'set', and the bg is smooth and uncluttered. It has all the makings of a very nice shot, but as already mentioned a few tweaks to the processing will make all the difference.
